The Big Power companies - PG&E, SCE and SDG&E - make billions of dollars a year in profits for their executives and shareholders, driving up energy costs and limiting consumer choice, all with the help of shady lobbying tactics and ratepayer ripoffs.

No more excuses. No more lies. No more scapegoating. No more backroom deals. It’s time to expose the truth about our broken utility system and hold our politicians accountable. The needs of California consumers must come first. We demand real solutions to stop the monopoly utilities and end their cycle of regulatory capture, unchecked spending and rate hikes.

Led by the nonprofit Environmental Working Group (EWG), Re-Volt is a consumer powered action network bringing together everyday people: renters, homeowners, small business owners, and grassroots organizations to fight for real solutions to California’s utility problems. Working together, we can cut through the noise, expose the truth about Big Utility’s antics and mobilize voter action. It’s time our elected lawmakers in Sacramento stop bowing to the monopoly utility lobbyists and their cronies and finally defend the needs and rights of their constituents.

Because there is no shortage of energy resources in California. There’s only a shortage of accountability for utility spending, political oversight by regulators and lawmakers, and consumer choice.
